This week is Truth and Reconciliation Week! Acknowledging the Truth and moving forward with Reconciliation is an important part of honouring and remembering the lost children and survivors of Canada’s Residential School System. These “schools” were not happy, healthy, or safe places to be for First Nation, Métis, and Inuit students. RMS is recognizing the importance of Truth and Reconciliation by participating in a variety of classroom and whole school activities. Each morning we will share a TRC announcement, and on Thursday September 29^th, not only will we have a moment of silence, but it is also Orange Shirt Day. Please wear Orange on Thursday.  

The Boys’ Soccer Team play their 1^st game of the season against Riverview East today, after school at 3:30 pm.  Come out and cheer our boys on!

Cross Country Team, Girls’ Soccer Team, and the Boys’ Soccer Team permission forms need to be returned to Mme. Bourque ASAP.

The RMS Cheer Team will have their first team meet tonight, Monday, September 26^th at the RMS gym from 5 pm until 6:30 pm. Wear appropriate clothing, hair should be tied up, and no jewelry.

Cooking Club will be starting soon! Sign up in the office.

Youth Group with Mrs. Landers will begin on October 17^th in the library at lunch. 

REMINDER: We are a NUT FREE ENVIRONMENT.
