The student wellness committee would encourage you to find a way this week to reduce your stress and enjoy some relaxation. Did you know that reading a book can reduce stress hormones by up to 68%? Having a journal and documenting your thoughts can help reduce stress as well. Whatever works best for you. Enjoy!

Boys’ softball tryouts are Thursday after school. Sign up sheets are in the gym hallway.

The girls’ softball team is still looking for a coach.

We would like to extend our congratulations to all the badminton players who participated in the district championship over the weekend. Each and every player represented RMS with great sportsmanship and played exceptionally well.

We would like to give a special shout-out to Eva Surette-Marks, who made it all the way to the girl’s consolation semi-finals on Saturday. Eva’s outstanding performance and dedication to the sport were truly impressive and inspiring. As well, congratulations to Grayson Aguilar-Knee for playing all the way to the consolation finals earning the second place in a hard-fought tournament.

Other notable strong performances go to: Conor Weir and Luke Kavanaugh for showing in the Semi-Finals Boys’ Doubles. Conor Walsh and Brayden Arsenault for playing in the Quarter Finals of Boys’ Doubles. Ben MacDonald and Maxwell Williams for playing in the Consolation Quarter Finals Boys’ Doubles.

To all the other players, we want to remind you that your hard work and perseverance have not gone unnoticed. You have all demonstrated exceptional talent and passion, and we are proud of you for representing our school so well.

There will be no district track and field event this year. If you have any questions regarding track and field or are interested in training without a track event, please see Mr. Bouma.

Student Achievement: Jill Randell placed 5th overall and brought home the bronze medal for team NB Gymnastics. Way to go, Jill!
