Good Morning RMS Families,

Just a few friendly reminders for the first week of school at RMS….

  • We have received many new registrations this past week, if you did not receive an email from your child’s homeroom teacher last week indicating their homeroom, please contact the school at (506) 856-3449 on Tuesday.
  • Please make sure we have your most up to date email, phone number and other contact information.
  • Morning supervision begins at 7:45 am.
  • First bus arrives at 7:45 am.
  • Walkers and Bikers may start to arrive at 7:45 am.
  • Kiss & Drop is located off Pine Glen Road, students may be dropped off beginning at 7:45am. Please do not drop off on Cleveland, Devere Road, or the sides streets leading to the school.
  • Late arrivals-should a student arrive after 8:10am, they are asked to enter through the main entrance on Devere and sign in at the office.
  • The first few weeks of school we tend to see long lines at the Kiss & Drop, please be patient and model kindness, as students and parents are adjusting to new routines and new schools.
  • We encourage those who can walk or bike to get out and enjoy the fresh air while commuting to and from school.
  • Daily announcements and updates are posted on the school website.
  • The only official social media platform used by RMS is Twitter. Please follow us @middleriverview to see all the great learning taking place throughout the year.
  • School Cash Online-please use School Cash online to sign all documentation and pay school fees. The only mandatory fee is the 20$ for TAFA (Technology, Art, Fine Arts-Music) & Phys.Ed.
  • For those who ordered and paid for school supplies, they will be distributed to students by the homeroom & subject teachers as needed throughout the school year.
  • Cafeteria will open the week of September 12th-Details to follow.
  • Microwaves are not available for student use, please send food items that do not require a microwave.
  • Should you have questions or concerns, please make your child’s homeroom teacher or subject teacher, your first point of contact.
  • Cell phones are not permitted at RMS during the school day. All electronic devices that are not school approved for academic use must be kept in a locked locker.
  • Dismissal begins at 2:35 pm.

Staggered Entry

This week will be a staggered entry for all students. With 500 students, the smaller numbers each day, allows the teachers to spend more time getting to know their students & permits our newest students in Grade 6 to spend time exploring the building.

Tuesday, September 6th– Grade 6 students only

Wednesday, September 7th– Grades 6 and 7

Thursday, September 8th– Grades 6,  7 and 8

Friday, September 9th– All students, regular schedules

We look forward to meeting you throughout the 2022-2023 school year. Please feel free to contact the school via email or phone should you have questions.

Wishing our Families and RMS Community a great first week back!
